Nicht nur ’Greenpeace’ selbst, sondern auch weltweite Unterstützer gehen bei der Festnahme von einer drastischen Abschreckungsmaßnahme von Präsident Putin aus. Anwälte und Angehörige hoffen, dass die angedrohten langen Haftstrafen noch abzuwenden sind. Den Aktivisten war zunächst Piraterie vorgeworfen worden, jetzt sind sie wegen Rowdytum angeklagt.
