2022 US midterm elections

Midterm elections are seen as a referendum on a sitting president's policies but often suffer from low voter turnout. This time could be different. Politicians say these midterms could be a historical turning point.

The economy, crime, abortion and immigration will all be on the ballot on November 8, 2022. The midterm elections offer US voters their first chance to issue a verdict on Joe Biden's presidency. A tightly contested race is expected.
