2025 Nobel Prize winners

The Nobel Foundation in Sweden is announcing this year's winners from October 6 to 13. The six categories to be awarded are medicine, physics, chemistry, literature, economic sciences and the Nobel Peace Prize.

Here is a list of the 2025 Nobel Prize winners:

  • Nobel Prize in medicine — Mary E. Brunkow, Fred Ramsdell and Simon Sakaguchi for "discoveries concerning peripheral immune tolerance."
  • Nobel Prize in physics — John Clarke, Michel H. Devoret and John M. Martinis for their work in the field of quantum mechanical tunneling.
  • Nobel Prize in chemistry — Susumu Kitagawa, Richard Robson and Omar M. Yaghi for developing a new metal-organic framework.
  • Nobel Prize in literature — Laszlo Krasznahorkai for "his compelling and visionary oeuvre" in the "midst of apocalyptic terror" that "reaffirms the power of art."
  • Nobel Peace Prize — Maria Corina Machado for "her tireless work promoting democratic rights for the people of Venezuela."
