383 German Tsunami Victims Identified

383 Germans who died after the Dec. 26 tsunami tidal waves in South Asia have been identified, a spokesman for Germany's foreign ministry said Monday. He added that 188 Germans are still missing. About 300,000 people died in the region. Germany's Federal Criminal Police on its Web site meanwhile has posted pictures of unidentified people and items found in the areas affected by the tsunamis. Police officials have already returned personal items to 723 people who were in the region when the tsunamis hit.
