A Closer Look at China's New Emission Targets

Following the United States, China also came up with its emission reduction targets this week, ahead of the climate conference in Copenhagen. Beijing aims to cut carbon intensity, that is the amount of carbon dioxide emissions per unit of gross domestic product, by a range of 40 to 45 percent by 2020.
