A parliamentary committee has started an investigation into the controversial airstrike in Afghanistan

Here in Germany, a parliamentary committee has started an investigation into the events surrounding September's controversial airstrike in Afghanistan. Up to 142 people were killed in the airstrike which targeted two fuel tankers near Kunduz. It is also being alleged the attack aimed to kill Taliban insurgents. There have been political repurcussion to the issue - and Chancellor Angela Merkel, the defense minister expected to testify before the committee.
