Together with Annette Humpe, Adel Tawil founded the duo Ich+Ich, which went on to sell millions of records. However, the pop group has been taking a break for four years, so Tawil used the time record his solo debut. His album "Lieder" has been a fixture in the German charts since last fall and won the singer the 2014 Echo Award as Best German Newcomer.
