Air Berlin is set to undergo a major restructuring that could see up to 1,000 jobs cut. The German carrier is also said to be looking into cutting its fleet in half. The airline has been posting losses for years, blaming tough competition in the aviation sector and the delayed opening of Berlin Brandenburg airport.
