Leaders of the Second World War allies have come together in northern France to mark the 80th anniversary of D-Day. The biggest seaborne invasion in history eventually liberated western Europe from Nazi tyranny. The leaders honored surviving veterans and recalled the huge cost in human lives of the Normandy landings.
