Welcome Back. The attention of the world is on Iran. The country has been shaken by the worst street protests since the Iranian Revolution of 1979. Sparked by the disputed presidential election on June 12th, the protests have gathered momentum and galvanised poltical dissent. The response of the hardliners within the regime has been predictable - a crackdown on anyone perceived to be an opponent. The crackdown and many of these protests have been filmed by those on the streets. An exiled Iranian gives DW-TV an exclusive look at material secretly shot while in Iran, and explains what we are seeing and hearing.
