Dreamy melodies and clever lyrics have earned Bavarian band Anajo a place of honor in the German indie scene. Several of their deutsch-pop tunes have made it into the charts, they’ve competed in Germany’s "Bundesvision Song Contest", and the Goethe Institute has invited the band to tour Russia and Ukraine.

The three musicians from Augsburg have been making music together for the past 12 years, building up a fan base with their live act. Their first album came out in 2004, but it was their second LP that gave them a breakthrough in 2007. Then came the title stories in well-known music magazines, songs in the charts, and a Bavarian music award for best indie band. We visited Anajo in their hometown of Augsburg, and accompanied them at a concert in Munich’s "Olympiapark".
