Here in Germany, there's a key regional election in Hamburg this weekend. And voting there could be influenced by the inconclusive outcome of a similar poll in the state of Hessen last month. The election there left the state's social democrat leader Andrea Ypsilanti possibly needing the support of the socialist Left Party to become state premier. And that's a course she is now apparently considering - despite having earlier pledged that it was not an option.
