Anger over corruption and the recession set to dominate Bulgarian elections

Voting has been brisk in Bulgaria as the country elects a new parliament. The country has been badly hit by the global financial crisis - the economy is in recession and unemployment is on the rise. The governing coalition led by the Socialists is also widely blamed for not doing enough to root our corruption and organised crime in politics. Surveys indicate a coalition of centre right parties is likely to win.
