Popular anger over what are often perceived as American-driven policies have left regimes in Egypt and Saudi Arabia, as well as the Palestinian Authority in the West Bank, looking increasingly isolated in the region. But these American allies have long accused Hamas of acting in the interest of its friends, Iran, Syria, and the Lebanese Shia militia, Hizbullah, to SABOTAGE chances for a regional peace.
