Life-sized animal puppets, part of an international art project called "The Herds," are marching from the DR Congo to the Arctic to confront the public with the human and ecological cost of the climate crisis.

"The Herds" art project is a warning of the consequences of the climate crisis: puppet masters set in motion life-like animals made of cardboard and plywood and pass through the streets of major European cities. Twenty species of animal puppets were designed in South Africa, among them, gorillas, giraffes and lions. The unique project highlights the threat to the world’s biodiversity and the problems arising from migration forced by the climate crisis. A report by Euromaxx reporter Charlotte Chelsom-Pill.
