AP photographer Evan Vucci: 'A moment in American history'

"I knew it was a moment in American history and it had to be documented," Associated Press photographer Evan Vucci spoke about the iconic photos of Donald Trump he took after an alleged assassination attempt.

Just seconds after shots rang out over the campaign rally for Donald Trump, AP photographer Evan Vucci was capturing the moment in photos that have been widely shared across the internet. The Pulitzer Prize winning photographer is the AP News Chief Photographer in Washington.

In his own words he talks about being in the right moment at the right time. He said he heard the shots and knew it was a historic event. Vucci then moved quickly to capture the scenewhen Trump was lifted up by his Secret Service agents while raising a defiant fist.
