People are discriminated against on the basis of their skin color across the world. And yet there is a simple scientific explanation as to why skin color varies. This episode of “What's up with race” explains the role of genetics and the real cause of racism. #What’s up with race

DNA sequencing technology has revealed that differences are tiny – so minimal that the idea of “race” can't be based on our genes. Racism is ultimately about securing power and property. Culture should help us to overcome boundaries like these.
