Novelist, playwright and screenplay writer Kiran Nagarkar is one of India's finest bilingual authors. Loved and hated in equal measure, Kiran Nagarkar is the enfant terrible of Indian literature. The provocative writer enchants readers wIth his sense of humor and rich storytelling. Writing in English, he decries fundamentalism of every stripe and calls religion a mental disturbance. His recent novel «God's Little Soldier» took on a tragic timeliness in the wake of the Islamist attacks in Bombay. Kiran Nagarkar is currently in Berlin and ARTS.21 paid him a call.
