Asian Democracies' Foreign Policy Dissapoints AI

The human rights watchdog, Amnesty International, presented its yearly report for 2009 on Thursday one day after Sri Lanka celebrated a diplomatic victory when the UN Human Rights Council rejected a draft resolution calling for an investigation into human rights violations committed during the civil war. The human rights watchdog says that India and Pakistan, as democracies, could do more to push for the respect of human rights in their foreign policy.
