Asian Stocks Drop Heavily After Lehman Collapse

16/09/08September 16, 2008

Asian stocks suffered heavy losses on Tuesday in reaction to market turmoil in the United States. Japanese share prices dropped nearly five percent to close at a three-year low, while markets in Hong Kong and South Korea recorded similar losses. The losses were triggered by the collapse of America's fourth-largest investment bank, Lehman Brothers on Monday.
