Audi Says Car Sales Speeding Up

German carmaker Audi on Monday posted strong sales gains in Western Europe and Asia. The company, a subsidiary of Volkswagen, produced over 560,000 units during the first nine months of the year, up over three percent from the previous year. But the company only moved 183,582 cars in Germany during the same period, a 2.3 percent decline. The company hopes its new mid-size A3 model will boost sales following its launch in 2003.
