After the Bondi Beach attack, Australian state, New South Wales, has passed sweeping gun restrictions. Under the new law, farmers and sports shooters could own up to 10 firearms, though the changes have sparked debate.

Fifteen people were killed when two gunmen targeted a Jewish festival on Sydney's Bondi Beach on December 14, in Australia's deadliest mass shooting since 1996.

Although Australia is known as one of the Western world's toughest countries on gun control, the attack has reignited public concern and renewed calls to curb extremist violence.
