Swedish startup Einride uses autonomous electric trucks to transport goods between an online pharmacy's warehouses. Controlled by AI with cameras, radar and lasers, the vehicles have no human driver on board.

Swedish tech firm Einride is pushing the boundaries of autonomous mobility with its electric self-driving trucks, now operating between Apotea’s logistics hubs near Stockholm. Equipped with AI-powered sensors and remote monitoring from Gothenburg, the vehicles navigate short public road segments under human oversight.

While full autonomy is technically feasible, regulatory approval remains a hurdle. Public opinion in Sweden reflects cautious optimism, as the trucks promise 24/7 delivery, reduced emissions and faster logistics. Einride’s next goal: autonomous container transport in European ports.
