Baltic states hard hit by Russian sanctions

Latvian farmers are suffering as a result of Russian counter-sanctions, after Moscow blacklisted a number of food products from its neighbours.

Farmers also fear that the Baltic country could be flooded with cheaper Polish agricultural products, as it too looks for new buyers. Some estimates indicate the ban could cost Latvia's economy up to 53 million euros a year.
