Barack Obama picks up his Nobel Peace Prize at a ceremony in Oslo

President Barack Obama says the Afghan war was "just and needed" and that he would not "stand idle" in the face of threats to the United States. Obama's Nobel Peace Prize acceptance speech concentrated on the the theme of war and peace in Oslo Thursday. It comes shortly after ordering an additional 30,000 troops to the war in Afghanistan. He acknowledged that as a wartime president he is a controversial choice.
