Ghana's "lean season" is particularly bad this year in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. Farmers are short on cash and food. But fellow farmer Nanleeb Konlan has donated his surplus grain to needy farmers and villagers.

The World Food Program reports that hunger has increased by 30% since last year, the highest level in a decade. But one man's initiative is helping those struggling. Nanleeb Konlan farms large grain plantations, which he distributes for free to poorer communities in the lean season.
