Many opera lovers around the world dream of one day attending the prestigious Bayreuth Festival where operas by 19th-century composer Richard Wagner are performed. But behind the scenes, Wagner's descendents have engaged in battles worthy of one of his productions. Now 88-year-old Wolfgang Wagner has said he will step down as director in August, and the debate over who will succeed him continues.
