Ben Carson - The surgeon

The successful separation of twins conjoined at the head made neurosurgeon Ben Carson famous. Now he is trying to win the White House.

Ben Carson is an internationally renowned neurosurgeon, but a political novice. He only rejoined the Republican Party in 2014. He vehemently opposes Obama's health-care reform, comparing it to slavery. His right-wing views have made him a favorite of the tea party movement. Carson is the only African-American candidate in the presidential race.
