Berlin Airports Close Due To Strikes

All three of Berlin's airports closed on Friday morning for three hours due to service strikes carried out by the service union Ver.di. Airlines flying into Tempel, Tegel and Schönefeld airports reported cancellations of at least 102 landings and takeoffs, affecting 1,500 passengers. Massive delays continued to slow takeoffs from the airport long after the strikes ended at 9 a.m.
