Germany's new president Joachim Gauck arrives in Israel today for his first visit since taking office. As well as holding talks with political leaders, he will be meeting with survivors of the Holocaust. Younger generations are also building ties between the two countries. Young Israelis in particular have been flocking to Berlin... Tens of thousands travelled here last year and many are living here too. It's a phenomenon that's grabbed the interest of one famous Israeli writer. We went to meet him.
