BMW to slash more than 5-thousand jobs in Germany by year's end - je 27.02.2008 17

Siemens, Henkel and now BMW - Germany's top companies plan to slash thousands of jobs even though they make healthy profits. BMW's head of personnel said on Wednesday that 2,500 temporary staff had already left the company and that another 5,600 would follow despite record company results.
