After little went right for Bochum in the first half of the season, the small club from Germany's industrial West became difficult to beat. But in the season's final weeks, things have once more gotten tight.

Prospects: Bochum coach Heiko Herrlich knows a thing or two about adversity, having battled back from the cancer that all but ended his days as a player. And some of that spirit seems to have rubbed off on the squad. But they still need some wins to banish the ghosts of relegation.
