A renewed outbreak of fighting between Thailand and Cambodia has derailed a US-brokered peace agreement, with cross-border shelling and air raids forcing more than half a million civilians to flee their homes.

Fighting between Thailand and Cambodia has entered its fourth day, with cross-border shelling and air raids forcing over 500,000 civilians to flee. Rockets hit near a hospital in Surin, while villages on both sides suffer destruction. Families face loss of homes and crops, and shelters in schools and temples are overcrowded. Cambodia’s camps hold thousands in harsh conditions. With both governments rejecting talks, the century-old border dispute shows no sign of ending.
