Domestic demand is set to improve this year in Germany. That's according to the government's latest economic forecast. Consumer spending has long been the weak link in the overall economic picture for Germany, but it might well rise now as companies boost hiring and incomes rise. The report forecasts economic growth of 2.3 percent in 2011.
