From Mumbai to Bremen. Dr. Mehul Bhatt lives far away from his homeland - but he spends most of his time in the virtual realm anyway. His area of expertise is space cognition. With help from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, he's examining questions related to people's perception of space. One example is: how well a building that's still in the planning stages will one day be able to meet its purpose. And how well visitors will be able to find their way through the new spaces.
