Budget deal averts shutdown

In a rare show of bipartisanship in Washington, a compromise budget deal worked out by Democrats and Republicans would end years of fiscal uncertainty in the US. The proposal would restore some spending cuts while also reducing the overall debt. And it removes the threat of another governmnet shutdown in the near future.
