Business in the Arab World: Young Skilled Workers in Tunisia

Before the Jasmine Revolution, some 26 percent of young men in Tunisia were unemployed. Discontent with their situation helped spark the movement for change there. German company Marquardt, which produces switching systems in Tunis, is trying to provide jobs for many young skilled workers. Marquardt employs 1500 people already, but is now hiring more engineers as it enlarges its factory.
