Businesses going bust in India's fight against 'black money'

Today is the deadline. India's crackdown on tax avoidance and black-market dealing has hit the economy hard. Prime minister Modi's plan was to take 500 and 1,000 rupee banknotes out of circulation - forcing crooks to bring their money out of the black market or else end up with worthless scraps of paper. Yet so far, the benefits of this cash withdrawal are proving elusive.
