The Cameroon International Film Festival came to a close at the end of April in Buea. Although the English-speaking western part of Cameroon is a minority in this French-speaking nation, the film is becoming ever more relevant in the region. Despite all the hurdles they face, film-makers have been thematicizing social issues in their work. Adrian Kriesch was at the festival in Buea.
