A hospital in Quebec says it has now taken draconian measures to prevent any more outbreaks of Clostridium Difficile, also known as C-Difficile. A report by the provincial coroner recently linked an outbreak in the spring of 2006 to the hospital’s need to save money and thereby its decision to skimp on appropriate prevention measures.
