Carsharing: Joint-use vehicles for urbanites

Berlin has only three cars for every 10 residents — that's a German record. People in the German capital use public transportation far more than those who live elsewhere.

But sometimes you just need a car. What to do? One solution is car-sharing, which car companies have recently discovered as a new business model. It's proved such a success in Berlin that massive competition has broken out between providers. Report by Marion Hütter.
