The fashion world has bid farewell to Valentino Garavani, the man known as the "last emperor" of Italian fashion. Stars including Tom Ford and Vogue editor Anna Wintour were among the mourners at the service in Rome.

The man known as the "last emperor" of Italian fashion, Valentino Garavani, has been laid to rest in Rome. Members of the public wore red, his signature color, outside the church, while his famous friends and colleagues paid their tributes inside — to a designer who didn't so much make clothes but moving works of art.
