Change in Liberia: Journalists in the battle against corruption

After nearly 20 years of instability and brutal civil war, the western African nation of Liberia has been working toward social, political and economic recovery for some time now.

But the battle against corruption has only just begun, as journalist and newspaper editor Rodney Sieh discovered. In a newspaper account, Sieh accused a former agriculture minister of corruption. Sieh was imprisoned and later placed under house arrest.
