The Chelsea Physic Garden is London's oldest botanical garden and the second oldest in Britain after Oxford Botanic Garden. It was established in 1673 as a instructional garden for apothecaries in training. The property has changed owners several times throughout its history and nowadays it's home to some five thousand plant species.
