Childhood Tooth Decay - how caries destroy baby teeth

A form of caries known colloquially as ‘baby-bottle tooth decay’ can harm the milk-teeth of infants and small children. The decay develops quickly when children are given sugary or acidic drinks in their baby bottles - for example sweet teas or fruit juices. As a result, many young children have to have teeth pulled.
