Renowned author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie is drawing large audiences on a visit to Nigeria as part of the international book tour for her latest novel, "Dream Count." DW's Olisa Chukwumah traveled back home with Adichie to her birthplace in Enugu State.

Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie recently returned to her hometown of Enugu, Nigeria, for the "Things Fall Apart" festival, which honors the legacy of famous novelist Chinua Achebe. Adichie's visit marked the launch of her latest novel, "Dream Count", her first in over a decade. Fans gathered eagerly for autographs and the rare opportunity to meet the acclaimed author in person.

As part of her homecoming, Adichie also visited her former secondary school in Nsukka, a town that influenced her debut novel "Purple Hibiscus". There, she was warmly welcomed by students and staff, with many young people expressing how meaningful it was to meet someone who once walked their path and has since achieved international success.
