China and EU Wrap up Key Summit

A one day summit between European and Chinese leaders has ended in China’s eastern city of Nanjing. It was the most substantive dialogue between the two sides in over two years.

During the meeting, the EU and China signed five agreements on energy, environmental cooperation, trade and investment.

But the two sides made no progress on pressing issues such as climate change.

Chinese Premiere Wen Jiabao also rejected calls for a stronger Chinese currency and accused critics of seeking to undermine his country's increasingly strong position.
