Nearly one and a half months after deadly ethnic riots in China's Xinjiang province, the government has decided to begin the trials of the 200-odd people arrested in the regional capital Urumqi on charges of murder and arson. There have been different claims as to why the protests in Urumqi in early July turned violent.
