China told the rest of the world on Friday not to interfere with the way it manages its currency, the yuan. China was reacting in large part to pressure from the White House, but also from the EU. China has kept the Yuan closely pegged to the dollar to help its exporters overcome the global financial crisis. Many Western economists believe it is undervalued by as much as 40 percent.
