Chrysler, the US subsidiary of DaimlerChrysler, will turn a profit in Europe and Asia for the first time in its history this year, Chrysler head Dieter Zetsche said Monday. "This year we've been profitable in our international business, something that we weren't in the past," Zetsche told the Financial Times Deutschland newspaper. However, the executive did not state the scope of Chrysler's international profits. The division's biggest marketing push in Europe is expected to happen in 2006, when the company will fully introduce its Dodge line of cars here. Earlier this year, Europeans first became acquainted with the sport variant of the line, the Dodge Viper.
